The Otherkind is an independent comic by writer/artist Clare Moseley.

Kealtha is a rapidly-growing metropolis in the Midwest. Time Magazine recently voted it one of the Top Places to Live in the United States. The city is a popular choice for Hollywood directors, often standing in for New York or Chicago. The recently built Ando Tower has cracked the top ten tallest in the world. The enclave J-Town has made the city a popular choice for Japanese immigrants.

By day, a beautiful, clean city… By night, the true Kealtha is revealed. It is not only a popular choice for immigrants, but for the Otherkind, supernatural creatures thought to only exist in myth. While some are lucky enough to blend into human society, most are exiles, turning to thievery and conniving to survive in the modern world. Their lives depend on hiding their true identity from “The Norms”.

While the police department flounders from ignorance and corruption, two gangs– the Runners and the Sirens– are engaging in brutal turf wars. Otherkind outside the gangs are forced to ally themselves merely for survival.

No matter the rivalries, all Otherkind recognize the true enemy as the revelation of their secret. If they were to be revealed, they would be hunted down, experimented on and exterminated.

But what happens when a Norm finds out about the world of the Otherkind and is thrust into the middle of their dangerous battle?
